NEW YORK
- The
NFL
announced
that 14
teams
will
receive
34
compensatory
draft
selections
in the
2024 NFL
Draft.
To be
eligible
for
compensatory
draft
picks, a
team
must
have
experienced
a net
loss of
compensatory
free
agents
in the
previous
year.
The NFL
will
award
compensatory
picks in
the
third
through
seventh
rounds
based on
the
value of
compensatory
free
agents
that
were
lost.
Clubs
with a
net loss
of CFAs
may be
eligible
for
compensatory
selections,
but no
club can
receive
more
than
four
compensatory
picks in
any one
year.
In 2020,
the NFL
and
NFLPA
amended
the
Collective
Bargaining
Agreement
to
promote
equal
employment
opportunities
in NFL
clubs.
Under
this
amendment,
the
prior
employer
club of
a
minority
employee
hired by
another
club as
its head
coach or
primary
football
executive
will
receive
compensation
in the
form of
a
special
compensatory
draft
selection
in the
third
round of
each of
the next
two
drafts.
The

2024
compensatory
draft
picks
have
been
awarded
for the
2024 NFL
Draft,
which
will be
held on
April
25-April
27 in
Detroit:
